Terms of Use

These conditions apply whenever someone browses, reads, or uses a search feature on Moore County Criminal History. Continued use signifies acceptance. Anyone who does not agree should stop using the site.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated resource has no affiliation with a local, Tennessee, or federal government body. It and its advertising partners do not provide services for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or another purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Its function is to identify public-record routes for Moore County, Tennessee. It is neither a private investigation firm nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site that operates independently of every government office. It does not hold official criminal records, conduct official checks, retrieve files, or submit documents for a visitor.

Its content directs readers to Moore County custodians and Tennessee systems, including the sheriff, criminal courts, TBI repository, and Tennessee Sex Offender Registry. Some pages also connect to outside tools that may assist general research.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use is conditioned on avoiding the following conduct:

  • Do not interfere with availability or prevent others from using the pages
  • Do not deploy bots, scrapers, or automated collection tools against the site
  • Do not attempt unauthorized entry into systems, accounts, or restricted functions
  • Do not use information to threaten, stalk, intimidate, or harass another person
  • Do not rely on site content for FCRA-regulated credit, employment, housing, or insurance decisions
  • Do not violate federal, Tennessee, or local law through use of the site

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No site or linked-tool information may be used to stalk, threaten, harass, intimidate, or unlawfully discriminate. Tennessee registry law makes this especially important for Tennessee Sex Offender Registry data, whose misuse may lead to criminal prosecution or civil liability. The registry supports public safety awareness. It does not authorize vigilantism or any prohibited screening decision.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Moore County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and does not create consumer reports, credit reports, or official background checks. Its advertising partners are not presented as services for applicant, tenant, insurance, or credit screening. Site or linked-tool data must not be used to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A person who needs a report for a regulated purpose must use a legally authorized, FCRA-compliant provider and follow all required consent and notice rules. TBI programs serve only the purposes and access routes Tennessee law authorizes.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is not legal advice. General descriptions of Moore County records cannot determine how a charge, judgment, warrant, or Tennessee expungement rule applies to one person. A licensed Tennessee attorney can provide advice about an individual matter.

6. No Warranties

All content and functions are supplied "as is." No warranty is made that:

  • The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
  • The site will stay up and running without interruptions
  • Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
  • Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Charges, dispositions, custody status, sealing, and expungement can change the government record. Delays and gaps can occur. Only the originating court, Moore County Sheriff, TBI, TDOC, or other custodian can issue an official statement.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links may lead to government pages, courts, legal resources, and outside search services. Those destinations are independently controlled. We do not warrant their content, uptime, prices, results, or data practices, so users should review the destination's own terms.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Moore County Criminal History or the applicable content partner. Copying, adapting, distributing, or building on that material requires prior written permission unless the law expressly allows it.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for harm arising from use of the site, reliance on its content, or information supplied by a linked service.

10. Indemnification

A user agrees to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, demands, and proceedings caused by that user's conduct or breach of these terms, including related legal costs where permitted.

11. Governing Law

Tennessee law governs these terms. Any dispute arising from site use must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Tennessee.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised. Unless a later date is stated, a posted revision takes effect when it appears on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be limited or ended at any time, with or without advance notice, when permitted by law.

14. Severability

If one term is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue in effect. The affected provision will be narrowed only as needed to make it enforceable.

15. Questions

Questions about these conditions may be directed through the Contact page.
